Somebody get KARA KING a coffee, because she's going to need it! What kept her and stepdad DOCTOR DAIFU up all night? It started with a big super-villain brawl in Granite City. SNOWGLOBE, KIMONO DRAGON, and all the big gangsters were there. Then UMBRA jumped in. You know, Umbra, the dark revenge from the shadows. Some people think he's a hero, others say he's a murderer.
Prize-winning journalist Kara King was going to figure out the truth for herself. Kara and Daifu even had Umbra cornered and ready for questioning. Unfortunately, that was when the police showed up, with some questions of their own.
Faster than a speeding bullet, Kara finds her life spun around once again, as she is forced to ally with UMBRA in order to continue her investigation. Naturally, this unstable alliance can't hold together too long before things boil over, sending Kara and Daifu on their way to VALKYRIE CITY.
Valkyrie City- the high security wonderland formed by superhero Valkyrie with the promise of safety in exchange to any who would pledge loyalty. It won't be easy for Kara and Daifu to break in. It will be even harder to get out.
That's alright, because Kara will do anything she can to continue the case of the missing husband-to bring the man best known as the Mighty Prometheus back into her life.
